Jennifer

Jennifer grew up with a love for cats. She rescued cats throughout her childhood and teenage years, often bringing home strays to clean, feed, and give them love and cuddles. Her passion for nurturing continued; in 2013, Jennifer became a registered nurse. She works in med-surg trauma, also specializing in renal and dialysis.

Jennifer’s breeding journey began when she realized her youngest son was allergic to dogs. The family set out to adopt a pet to which the young boy would not be allergic — and that’s when and how Jennifer found the minskin breed. She was elated to learn that her son was not allergic and, soon, she was obsessed!

Jennifer became determined to bring the minskin breed to as many quality homes as she could, helping others who suffer from allergies as well as those who are merely as fascinated as she with this amazing breed. 

Cat Skills Cattery minskin Marta is Jennifer’s spirit animal.

Berto

Jennifer's husband and a lifelong dog owner, Berto quickly became as fascinated as his wife with the minskin breed. After hours of convincing from Jennifer, he decided he would support her in her mission to build the breed’s best cattery at home.

As you can see, it didn't take long for Berto to warm up to the idea; he now spends lots of time comforting and caring for kittens, as well as our pregnant moms!

Berto is Jennifer's right hand in all aspects of Cat Skills Cattery.

Cat Skills Cattery minskin Bellatrix is Berto’s spirit animal.

Brandon

Brandon has a love and passion for all animals so, naturally, he was over the moon at the idea of an in-home cattery.

Brandon has his black belt in karate and is also aspiring to one day be a pitcher for the New York Yankees!

Baseball is Brandon’s life, but when he is not playing baseball he is caring for and playing with the Cat Skills Cattery kittens. He often sleeps with them at night, helping prepare our kitties for their new homes.

Brandon is always sad to see our kittens leave the nest, but equally happy about sharing our love with other families.

Cat Skills Cattery minskins Marta and Morgan are Brandon’s spirit animals.

Troy

Troy definitely keeps the kittens on their toes!

His favorite activities are reading to, playing games with and teaching spring-toy fetch to all the Catskills Cattery minskins.

Marbles are their favorite!

Thanks to Troy, all Cat Skills Cattery kittens are prepared to move into just about any environment — as long as there’s lots of love and adventure!
